Training Courses

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jeremy @ 8:51 pm

Mark Wilkinson teaching at one of the Seminars Between January and March 2003 we held a 3 part Worship Training course called ‘The Heart of Worship‘.

This was a series of linked training seminars on different aspects of praise and worship, and intercession.

In delivering the training we utilised local people involved in worship and prayer ministry as well as some well-known people. These took the form of interactive exercises, small group discussion, biblical studies, use of audio and video material and hands-on practical experience, praise and worship, etc.

  • Seminar 1: ‘In Spirit and in Truth’ -
    • The Biblical basis of worship;
    • The Tabernacle of David;
    • Characteristics of a Worshipper;
    • The Watchmen;
    • 24 Hour Worship.
  • Seminar 2: Worship is Warfare -
    • Foundations for Spiritual Warfare;
    • Intercessory Worship;
    • Prophetic Worship.

In this seminar we explored the relationship between worship and intercession, developing a perspective that highlights that God does not intend worship and prayer to be 2 separate events, but a dynamic interaction that leads to a greater release of His power. We call this Intercessory Worship. Sessions included biblical teaching, live praise and worship, reports from people involved in worship ministry, and ‘live’ experimentation and practice of the concepts developed during the day.

The evening session was a Practical Application session with Harry Smith and Margaret Clarke sharing experiences from prayer days at the Christian Renewal Centre in Rostrevor.

  • Seminar 3: Movement in Worship -

This seminar outlined the biblical background for dance, prophetic movement and action. The day was facilitated by Andy Au. Andy leads the City Gate Church in Brighton, England, is an adviser to the Christian Dance Fellowship of Britain, on the committee of the International Christian Dance Fellowship and is the movement co-ordinator for March for Jesus. He has actively promoted corporate movement within conferences and churches, resulting in the establishment of the Movement in Worship Association, which he directs.
